Pending external DNS activation: *.wookcom.com

The editor project already has *.wookcom.com attached and ownership verified in Vercel. Current authoritative nameservers remain Namecheap (dns1.registrar-servers.com / dns2.registrar-servers.com). No wildcard record currently resolves; Vercel reports misconfigured=true. Tenant subdomains must not be reported as live until DNS and TLS are verified.

To keep Namecheap as DNS provider:

  1. In Vercel team Domains → wookcom.com → DNS Records, enable Vercel DNS for certificate challenge handling. Do not change the domain's authoritative nameservers. API inspection currently reports zone=false; adding the existing account domain with zone=true did not change it.
  2. In Namecheap Advanced DNS, add:
Type Host Value
CNAME * 12c3465252b94bcf.vercel-dns-017.com
NS _acme-challenge ns1.vercel-dns.com
NS _acme-challenge ns2.vercel-dns.com

CNAME is the rank-1 target returned by Vercel's wildcard domain configuration for this project. The challenge NS records follow Vercel's documented external-DNS wildcard certificate delegation. Existing root, editor, mail and other explicit DNS records should be preserved.

  1. After propagation, inspect wildcard configuration and certificate status in Vercel. Verify a published tenant over HTTPS, an unpublished tenant is unavailable, editor.wookcom.com still opens the constructor and the root marketing domain is intact.

Current connected Namecheap tool only checks domain availability; it cannot edit DNS. The publication dialog retains a legacy alternate link through editor.wookcom.com/?site=... while activation is pending.
